Farrah Fawcett Left Out of 2010 Oscars

The 82nd Annual Oscar Awards Ceremony, as always, features an “In Memoriam” segment recognizing all those lost in the year between the last ceremony and the current in the field of movie entertainment. This year, the industry lost popular celebrities such as Patrick Swayzee, David Carradine, Farrah Fawcett and Dom DeLuise. However, the 82nd Annual Oscars missed Farrah Fawcett in their reel of past stars.

Their excuse was that not all celebrities are featured, but they were sure to add in the “King of Pop” in their segment, when his movie resume is not even close to that of Farrah’s. What a disgrace! Admit you fucked up and move on. Don’t feed us this bullshit excuse that ‘not all celebrities are featured,” when you were sure to include old people I’ve never even heard of and a musician who has nothing to do with the Oscars and probably never had the luxury of getting an invite to attend. Why jump on the MJ bandwagon and miss someone who was actually part of the industry?  Poor Farrah.

I’m sure she was rolling around in her grave when her own death was shadowed by that of a child molesting, prescription drug addicted, racially confused fool. But now, her death was shadowed by her peers and her memory was, once again, replaced by Michael Jackson.

I just wanted to express how disgusted I was with not only forgetting her, but making excuses that, in short, she wasn’t good enough for the reel.  Hey, OSCAR ACADEMY! You would have been better off admitting your fault!

What is your opinion on this? How honest can you be and what is YOUR honest factor?

They also cut out Bea Authur. I was shocked to see they kept both of them out.

@Flo,Just because he wasn't convicted, doesn't mean he WASN'T and do you recall when many of MJ's "servants" told the media he made them get their doctors to sign off on prescription drugs and they gave the bottles to MJ and never used it themselves? He WAS addicted and his addiction killed him. This was a suicide, not a homicide. Read the news and get back to me.

While MJ did put out good music and was considered the king of pop, he wasn't much more beyond that. He never grew up, he was a 40+ year old 12 year old. Always wanting "sleep overs" with kids and as Admin stated, just because he was not convicted, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Either way, MJ dealt with music, the only movies he appeared in were music videos, not very Oscar worthy in my books.
